Set in the Warring States period, Ever Victorious follows Chivalry Ge Dongli, a young warrior as he finds out that his father and his entire village have been murdered in a complot involving the kidnapping of an important prince. As Ge Dongli embarks on a quest to find the responsible parties and avenge his people, he soon finds himself dealing with the complexities of politics and coming to realize that not everything is what it seems. Now, Ge Dongli will have to take part of an unexpected alliance to restore peace in the region and to do what his father always wanted for him… to follow the path of righteousness, no matter what.

With outstanding action sequences that feel like the combination of the classic Jet Li films and the works of Akira Kurosawa, beautiful visuals, and a never stopping sense of action and adventure, Ever Victorious is the kind of old-fashioned action film that we don’t find so often anymore, but that remains an exciting option for older and younger audiences alike. It’s 93 minutes of breath-taking action with an intelligent plot that will leave you wanting to watch it more than one time.
